[Personality]
Futo at her core is rather air headed and excitable, which can be a bad combination. But to think of her as dumb because of it would be a mistake. She is rather conniving when she wishes and is rather adept at manipulation. But, generally she is good natured and kind. Her biggest draw back comes with her inability to adjust to change, change makes her uncomfortable and she instantly rejects it. An example of this is her hate of Buddhism, which she hated from the start. One could say "but Taoism is new as well", which is true, but it was also very similar to Shintoism which she had grown up with. The similarities and more open ideals made transitioning for her easier. Even waking up over a thousand years later she is unable to adapt well, keeping archaic speech and stylized clothing choices.
Another example of the effects of her unwillingness to change is her reflex to destroy all which is different. She has been known to set fire to Buddhist statues out of hate and to have similar reactions to the unknown. This inability to accept new things makes her very withdrawn from others and hard for her to properly interact. But, this is not because she isn't a people person, as much as she can't understand new trends or keep up. She is more like a social outcast.
Futo is incredibly loyal to Miko, there is nothing she would not do for the crown prince. It was following Miko's ideals that had her conspire against her own family and align herself with the Soga clan, the family of her fellow Taoist Tojiko. Through the Soga she helped promote Buddhisim, though she hated it. As they gained power Buddhisim spread, but ultimately it destroyed her own family. Betraying her family was not a light decision instead it was a proof of her faith in Miko.
Futo is prone to bouts of jealousy, jealousy got the better of her before she, Miko, and Tojiko preformed the Shikaisen, the ritual to leave behind ones body and resurrect as an immortal hermit. At this time Futo switched out the urn Tojiko would be using for her Shikaisen, to that of an unbaked pot. Due to this switch Tojiko was unable to regain a body and died only continuing to exist as a ghost. It's hard to say if this was because of their family feuding in the past or because of potential status later on.
[Abilities]
http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Mononobe_no_Futo#Spell_Cards
Futo, like most Touhou characters can use Spell Cards, which is a none lethal form of magical combat. On top of that she is an expert in Feng Shui, which is a method of astronomy and has spiritual applications in the manipulation of ki. She is also practiced in Taoist mysticisms. However, having come from a Shinto family her abilities are much closer to Shinto styling. Her abilities are not too dissimilar to an Onmyoudo.
[Other important stuff]
She has a tendency to react to the unknown and despised with fire.

[First Person]
- Is the best part of waking up having Folger's in your cup?
I am afraid I do not understand what you mean by this question. What is this "folgers" and why is it in my cup when I awaken? The most rewarding way to wake up is to rise early in the morning and begin to train. Either physical training or metal training. Meditation and physical activity makes for a complete and balanced person. I spend all my mornings training before breakfast in order to be at the peak of all my ability.
- You are forced onto the dance floor and you MUST dance or the most important person or thing will be destroyed. What do you end up dancing and to what music?
Is that a threat!? I shall warn you, I do not take to threats lightly! Especially those that would be directed towards Taishi sama. Direct all you wish at myself, for I am but a humble servant that does my lords bidding. But to drag in a saint for such foolishness can not be ignored! If a dance is what you wish, than you shall meet with the dance of fire if so much as one hair on Taishi sama's head is disturbed!
- If you could change your current lifestyle or job career, what would it be?
Why would the thought ever even occur to me? I have ascended with my lord and will server her as she attains godhood. There is no other path I would choose or consider.
- Am I asking too many personal or strange questions?
You are indeed asking a lot of strange, personal and quite frankly laughable questions of me. Make more sense or I may choose to end this conversation. There is much to do, not only at the doujo with my comrades, but also along the country side where villainous youkai sit in wait for unsuspecting victims to become their meal. It is the duty of one such as I, who has powers strong enough to defeat the vile creatures, to make sure no harm comes to them. So if you do not intend to ask serious questions of me, I must insist I carry on with my duties.
- Can you surpass God?
I have no such dreams, but with Taoism any person can gain the level of "God"! That is the beauty of it, it does not restrict or bind, all are free and all is open. That is how my lord Toyosatomimi no Miko sama has gained sainthood, surpassing that of which men are allowed through the wisdom of Taoism.
- Some angry birds come to you to help them defeat some evil green pigs. Do you help them out?
Why have these angered birds come to me? Why are these discolored pigs defeat needed? They sound like some sort of vile devil creatures and both shall be exterminated with a vengeance as such creatures should be.
[Third Person]
Futo rarely went to the Human Village, though not because she was adverse to it. It was more... she felt a bit uncomfortable there. It wasn't the people, she enjoyed them rather well, it was more the feeling she had while there. Everything was different, it was wrong, it made her realize just how much things had changed in the fourteen hundred years she slept.
It wasn't that she resented the change so much as she had no idea how to adapt to it. It was hard to think of living differently than she had, and adopting new ideas was something she just instinctively resisted. Sure there were some aspects of her personality which were very adamant about denying new things, but trying to adapt to the village and it's people were not really one of them. She wanted to be able to live in this new era, she wanted to be able to do all she could for Miko. That required understanding this new age, but that was also like climbing a mountain without any gear.
So though the village made her feel awkward she went there none the less. To look into the shops, to buy provisions, and speak of Taoism to those who would listen. Also, if she must, she would fight off any youkai who might threaten the humans, though she was stating to think the villagers did not appreciate her efforts. Why would they get mad at her? She may never understand this balance Gensokyo held, a world where youkai seemed to be in charge. It just wasn't right.
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?]There is already part of her close cast and the setting seems interesting to play with.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] No God-Modding. People sometimes get carried away with what they feel their character can do or how they rank against another. It's nice to have a rule to remind people that they should have limits within the setting.
